I was getting my coffee this morning at starbucks and saw the OC register which had a story about local businesses are now using social media instead of old school public relations. It when on to talk about those old firms have had to switch to social media themselves to stay afloat.
But is it smart to use an old school company gone new school or should these local business find experts in these new forms of media…

I have recently been doing some study on twitter and how people or tweeple if you will use this service.
Some points of interest:
Twitter strategies can be used as local seo strategies.
Twitter can be automated but at what point does it become spam?
Twitter is a gold mine because people are using the service more and more.
I would say that twitter has not even really been figured out yet as to how to fully use it to its fullest.
I would like to have your comments on what you think twitter is best used for.
I will then take these comments and create a survey which I will survey tweeple.
Then I will share these results on this blog for all to use.

I got a call yesterday from a client that let me know he made $4700 more this week because of the 4 website leads we got for him the 2nd week his site went up. So docs yes web 2.0 does work to market for new patients.
So for all you “But I don’t like your site” people read it and weep.
